Our first competitive hunt of 2023 was held on April 29, 2023 at Buckroe Beach in Hampton, VA. After a very rainy Firday night the clouds were still hanging around and looked to threaten the days fun. Thankfully though it started clearing up and the sun came out and the sun screen was very much needed. It was a great day.
This year we hosted a local group of young detectorists from the Richmond Gem and Mineral Society. The Richmond Mini Miners came down to learn how to metal detect and we were able to have a special competitive hunt for them on their own private seeded hunt field. All in all it was a great day.
