Our second competitive hunt of 2022 was held on October 8th 2022 at Buckroe Beach
in Hampton, VA. Weather started off as sunny with a few stray clouds and a little bit of a chill in the air. As the morning progressed it got a bit more cloudy and cold. Not too bad of a day for Metal Detecting.
Warm up Hunt
Meet Bob
Bob was our mascot for the day. While we got to see more Sea Gulls, Pigeons, Dolphin and a few Pelicans, Bob hung out close to our group waiting for an occasional handout.
Here he is asking "Is that's all you got?".

Prizes
Due to the wind blowing things around I wasn't able to get a good shot of all the prizes laid out this year, sorry. Check out the individual prize winner shots below for what was awarded.
This year our grand prize was a Fisher F22 Metal Detector donated to the club by one of our members, in addition to some display cabinets picutred above and some fine looking silver coins, sand baskets, scoops and Gift Gards to WAWA and Kroger. It was a great selection as usual.
Prize Winners
Thanks everyone for coming out and joining us on the beach for a great time. Thanks as always to Susan and Robert our Hunt-masters. Greatly appreciated.
I hope everyone had fun.
See you in the Spring!
