Hampton Neighborhood Night Out 2025 was held at Hampton Roads Convention Center
in Hampton, VA on August 05, 2025. In conjunction with U Rock Art, HRRS was able to set up a booth at this annual neighborhood event to share the hobby of metal detecting with the community. With the help of some great volunteers for over 3 hours we helped introduce people for the first time to metal detecting in a wide range of age groups.

U Rock Art kindly provided a pool with sand for us to share and with the aforementioned volunteers we had plenty of previously found treasures to
show off, as well as hand out brochures, and allow people to sign up to learn
more about our club. We had so many people stopping by the booth as many
wanted an opportunity to crack open a geode with U Rock Art's geode splitter.

We even had an opportunity to share teaching the Mayor of Hampton,
Jimmy Gray how to find some treasures in the sand.
It was a busy night but a lot of fun.

Thank you to U Rock Art for sharing your booth with us.

A Special Thank You to Caroline, John, Kendall, Jack,
and Cory for sharing your time, finds, and stories with the community.
Barry Merrill- HRRS President.
