"You Guess" Game
Our fall hunt saw the return of the You Guess game. Four containers were set up with one object in each container. The objects were hidden from everyone and each person was given an opportunity to use their metal detector to guess what the object was inside just by the type of readings or tone they received from their particular detector. The person guessing the object correctly got a point and the ones with the most points were awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place based on the accuracy of their guesses.
1st Place - Rick
2md Place- Alex
Tie for 3rd between: John and Cheryl
Congratulations to our winners.
Our Prize Winners
This was the best shot I had Mary, Sorry. It wasn't until after you left that we realized that the camera was having issues. After a few resets I was able to get it working again.
Our Hunt Masters Susan And Robert once again provided a great selection of prizes. Thanks for all you do to make our events so successful. Again my apologies for not having any close ups of all the prizes due to camera problems.
I really enjoy having these events. Camera problems aside, its a great time and a lot of fun. We get to introduce the hobby to a lot of people that walk by and see the event as well as get to see a few members that live too far away to attend our regular meetings. We also have a chance to get together as a club to hunt competitively while socializing and providing some useful tips and support. I once again noticed that before, during and after each of the timed hunts several people providing assistance to our less experienced members to fine tune their detecting techniques. I am truly thankful that we have such a great group of people.
Take care and I hope to see you at the next meeting.
